Southern Cyprus: Hundreds of Greek Cypriots gather in Derinia to protest Varosha’s inauguration

Hundreds of people gathered on Thursday at the crossing point in Derinia to protest against the opening of the authorities in the northern part of coast in Varosha, as the government said it was time for the European Union to show its support for Cyprus with concrete measures. And “We are the legitimate owners”, and sang slogans and patriotic songs, calling on Turkey to stop its illegal actions in the Famagusta fenced area.
