✍️ DECISIONS TAKEN BY THE INFECTIOUS DISEASES SUPREME COMMITTEE OF THE TRNC UNDER THE INFECTIOUS DISEASES ACT 45/2018⬇️

In order to start vaccination applications in our country simultaneously with the rest of the world, to reduce the number of contamination in our country and to ensure that people who have been vaccinated and have had infections and produce antibodies enter our country without restrictions as of April 1, 2021, and to enable all services that have been stopped and / or decreased within the scope of the measures taken. Considering the increase in the number of local cases, the Infectious Diseases Supreme Committee has decided to tighten the decisions taken in order to increase the number of contamination among healthcare workers and to ensure the effective continuity of the health system.

📌 1. A partial curfew has become necessary due to the increase in the number of local cases in our country and the decrease in the number of local contamination cases despite all the precautions taken before.

– a) It has been decided that public officials working in the police, fire brigade, health, civil aviation, electricity institution, municipalities, Ministry of Finance, Customs and Rusumat Office in the public sector will continue their services. It has been decided that public officials working outside of the specified institutions will be suspended from their work from 18 January 2021 at 00:01 until 31 January 2021 at 23:59. However, employees in the departments deemed necessary by the Ministries may be called upon to perform essential services with a minimum of personnel upon the call of the Authority Supervisors.

– b) In the private sector; It has been decided that the following sectors, workplaces and activities are closed from January 18, 2021 until 23:59 on January 31, 2021, except for businesses that produce services within the framework of meeting basic needs such as pharmacies, gas stations, bakeries and markets, and holders of yellow press cards.

– Entertainment places, cinema, bars, cafes, coffee house / coffee house etc.
– Picnic areas and collective activities etc.
– Gyms, stadiums, etc.
– Wedding halls, birthdays, mass prayers, religious services, etc.
– Night clubs, casinos
– Bet offices, internet cafes, massage parlors etc.
– Barbershops, hairdressers, beauty salons, tattoo parlors, etc.
– Market places etc.
– Restaurant, patisserie, cafe, buffet etc. (Only take-away and pick-up will be open)
Home visits and hospitality,
– Culture, art, exhibition halls, archaeological sites, libraries etc.

– c) It has been decided to stop all sports training and competitions until 31 January 2021.

Persons who want to go out on the streets for indispensable reasons will be subject to the special permission of the Police and District Governorship.

📌 2. It has been decided for patients residing in Northern Cyprus and receiving routine treatment / treatment in Southern Cyprus to move to Southern Cyprus without daily quarantine, in order not to experience victimization and to complete their treatment. The patient and his attendant (if necessary) who will be transferring for health purposes, are required to submit the negative PCR test results made within the last 3 days upon arrival. In addition, patients and companions returning to our country after the treatment should perform PCR tests again on the seventh and fourteenth days of their entry into the country, and submit the results to our Ministry.

📌 3. It has been decided that the passage of persons residing in the North and working in Southern Cyprus is subject to quarantine until 31 January 2021 at 23:59.

📌 4. It has been decided that the passage of persons residing in the South and working in Northern Cyprus will be subject to quarantine until 23:59 on January 31, 2021.

📌 5. It has been decided that the passage of students and their parents who reside in the North and study in Southern Cyprus and their passages are subject to quarantine until 23:59 on January 31, 2021.

📌 6. It has been decided that the passage of students and their parents residing in the South and studying in Northern Cyprus is subject to quarantine until 23:59 on January 31, 2021.

📌 7. It has been decided to extend the semester break until 23:59 on January 31, 2021 in all primary and secondary education schools in the TRNC.

📌 8. It has been decided to stop the classroom, study, private lessons and course activities until 23:59 on January 31, 2021.

📌 9. It has been decided to stop the face-to-face training services of institutions providing higher education until 23:59 on January 31, 2020.

📌 10. Within the scope of the Green Line Regulation, it has been decided for people engaged in contactless trade to trade without quarantine.

📌 11. It has been decided that ambulances pass through the Yeşilırmak Border Gate for health purposes only without quarantine application, and that other passages are subject to quarantine.

📌 12. It has been decided for TÜK to continue its feed and barley sales, to show the necessary flexibility for feed factories and feed suppliers to continue their activities, to continue their production in Flour Factories, Milk Institution and Milk processing manufacturing plants.

📌 13. With the export and import permission of the Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, it has been decided for the slaughterhouses to continue working.

📌 14. It has been decided that auto vehicle recovery and internet service providers’ emergency breakdown services continue.

📌 15. It has been decided that companies providing private security services continue to work.

📌 16. It has been decided that water producers, distributors and sellers continue to serve.

📌 17. It has been decided that the activities of cutting and packing of citrus fruits, livestock, agriculture and construction sectors, food and basic needs suppliers continue.

📌 18. It has been decided that the truck drivers coming to our country from the ports should submit the negative PCR test results within 72 hours, and enter the country without quarantine, provided that they stay in the port until the second PCR test results are negative. However, the truck drivers must unload the cargo in their trucks, and load their new cargo and leave the country within 48 hours.

📌 19. Since the above decisions will be valid from January 18, 2021, it has been decided that all decisions taken until January 15, 2021 will be extended until January 18, 2021.

📌 20. Persons residing or working in Pile, who work in the non-prohibited business lines, will be able to transfer without quarantine, provided that they submit the current negative PCR test results within 72 hours.

📌 21. UN, EU, British Bases, Buffer Zone and Peace Corps staff will be able to enter without quarantine, provided that they submit negative PCR test results within the last 72 hours.

📌 22. Until the rules come into force, it is recommended not to go out until 18 January 2021 unless there is an essential need.

📌 23. The decisions taken by our Committee will be re-evaluated on 23 January 2021, considering the pandemic situation in our country.
