Ersin Tatar condemns the US decision to lift the arms embargo, and calls for the immediate reversal of the decision

Prime Minister Ersin Tatar asserted that ; “The lifting of the arms embargo on Southern Cyprus for a year by the United States of America will only benefit the increase of Greek intransigence and the US earning money.”

He added, “Taking such a decision during the period of Greek provocations to Turkey in the region is not appropriate for a permanent member of the Security Council such as the United States, and it is clear that this decision will not contribute to peace, but to an increase in conflict with the Greek side. I condemn the United States of America and invite you to immediately return from this mistake. But everyone should know that Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will not give up the rights it supports. What needs to be done is not to increase tension, but to reach peace by seeing the facts. “
